I wanted to do something unique for the snow moon when I realized it would be clear on the morning of February 11, 2025. My research showed it would set behind Gull Rock from the perspective of the Devil's Punchbowl. I arrived just after 5:30am in 28-degree weather. Despite numb fingers, I managed to capture shots until the moon disappeared behind the fog bank. As the moon sank, it took on an orange-pink cast and it was obvious these shots would be special.
